WELCOME to wigan youth zone
Oreet!
Welcome to Wigan Youth Zone! Our mission is to inspire and empower the next generation of young people in Wigan and Leigh, enabling young people to realise their full potential. We achieve this by providing a dynamic, secure, and social space for young people aged 8-19 (and up to 25 for those with additional needs) to explore their identities and receive guidance as they navigate the path to adulthood. We’re committed to fostering personal growth and development within a nurturing environment.
We believe all young people deserve the opportunity to shine. But opportunity is about more than bricks and mortar, sports courts and sound studios. The amazing equipment in our Youth Zones is essential. But their real impact comes from the life-changing youth work that is at the heart of everything we do.

To ensure this is a rare occurrence (would change for- to ensure risks are managed), each area is manned by a member of staff – meaning that young people in each area are supervised at all times. The safety of our young people is paramount therefore all activities throughout the Youth Zone adhere to our Risk Assessments.
Seniors (those in High School or up to age of 19) are free to leave the youth zone whenever they like.
