Wigan Youth Zone Welcomes Local Celebrity - Hacker T Dog
This September, Wigan charity hosts Hacker T Dog, as Wigan Youth Zone had the fantastic experience of welcoming CBBC’s own star back to his hometown for very special filming! Working in partnership with BBC Teach and the Anti-Bullying Alliance, Hacker and his team brought an interactive, anti-bullying Live Lesson right to our youth zone. This programme, now live, is designed to inspire primary school children to handle disagreements constructively and respectfully.
Incredible Opportunity for Youth Zone Members
We’re especially proud to say that four of our young members—Bobby, Danielis, Isla, and Temitayo — had the amazing opportunity to join Hacker on set and take part in this unique episode!
Together, they helped him put on the ultimate sports match where teamwork, respect, and fair play were front and centre. Through interactive activities, our young stars encouraged viewers to think about the ways we can all show respect to one another, no matter the setting.
Catch the Episode Now!
We encourage everyone to watch the Live Lesson, which aired at 11am on Tuesday, November 12, and is now available on-demand on the BBC Teach website. It’s a fantastic opportunity for classrooms and families alike to dive into lessons of respect and constructive communication—values we champion every day here at Wigan Youth Zone.
We’re immensely proud of Bobby, Danielis, Isla, and Temitayo for representing Wigan Youth Zone and sharing these important messages. A huge thank you to BBC Teach, CBBC, The Connected Set, and the Anti-Bullying Alliance for making this possible and for bringing attention to such an important topic.
