Incredible achievements and successes of children and young people in Wigan and Leigh were celebrated at Wigan Youth Zones’ Young People Awards on Friday, 19th November 2022.
Held at Wigan Youth Zone, the Young People Awards 2022 was a huge success, with over 250 young people, Youth Workers, Volunteers, Patrons and special guests attending to toast the many achievements of the Borough’s Young People.

Other performances included a contemporary dance showcase from the Youth Zone’s street dance crew and performing arts students. The Youth Zone team also elaborated on some of the amazing highlights from the past 12 months, such as the achievements throughout the pandemic, the impact of mentoring and insight to Wigan Youth Zone members’ journeys.

Well done to the staff and helpers at the youth zone you are transforming the lives of the future adults of the town.”
